Lisa, a clinical specialist Lymphoedema, operates from the Wicklow Lymph Clinic and Linton Therapy Clinic, Sheltonville House Surgery, Ferrybank, Arklow, Couny Wicklow.
Over the years Lisa has given presentations on Lymphoedema to Cancer Support Groups. These talks focused on the signs, symptoms and treatments in order to promote early intervention and to reduce the risk of developing Lymphoedema.
Lisa has assembled a team of highly qualified therapists, including Physical therapists and Sports therapists. These therapists are available through Linton Therapy Clinic and the Wicklow Lymph Clinic.
Linton Therapy Clinic
For over 18 years, Linton Therapy Clinic has been operating in Arklow, providing a wide range of complementary and Medical treatments. We are located at Sheltonville House Surgery, 15 Ferrybank, Arklow, Co. Wicklow.
The range of treatments includes, Sports Injury and rehabilitation treatments, Holistic Massage, Reflexology and Pregnancy Massage to name but a few. These treatments can be very beneficial to a wide range of medical conditions and in conjunction with standard medical treatment can provide considerable therapeutic benefits.
My treatment rooms are thoughtfully laid out to maximise both the therapeutic benefits and relaxation benefits of massage therapy. Relaxation therapies include holistic massage, pregnancy massage, reflexology and lymphatic drainage. We also offer sports massage therapy for those clients that have pain and injuries. The medical side of the clinic is dedicated to cancer patients. We do a full range of lymphoedema bandaging (complex decongestive physiotherapy) including lymphatic drainage, we also measure, supply and fit compression garments. We can do this privately and in some cases via medical card. We also try to incorporate rest time in the treatment room before and after the treatment which is greatly appreciated when clients are in the middle of chemotherapy and/or palliative care. We try to give the care giver access to a treatment room to rest while we are looking after their loved ones. We have three therapists and a receptionist who is happy to answer your calls, texts and any queries you may have so to put you with the best therapist to suit your individual needs.
Wicklow Lymph Clinic
Wicklow Lymph Clinic was established to look after the rising need of patients who suffer from swelling in the body after cancer and/or cancer treatment (Lymphoedema).
We offer Complex Decongestive Physiotherapy which is the only medical treatment recommended for Lymphoedema, this involves bandaging the limb, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), skin care and lymph stimulating exercise programme.
Our treatments address swellings post surgery including hip and knee replacements and cosmetic procedures.
We look after Primary Lymphoedema cases.
We also look after Lipedema patients.
